Staffing Management Association of South Florida (formerly EMA) is the only SHRM chapter in the tri-county area (Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach counties) with an exclusive focus on recruiting, staffing and retention.
Founded in 2001, our mission is to provide our members with a focal point resource for information and education on recruitment and retention practices. Additionally, we strive to advance the knowledge, proficiency, and effectiveness of Human Resource professionals, thereby enabling them to become recognized as strategic partners within their organizations. We are constantly meeting the challenge of providing our members and guests the latest and most contemporary employment related programs and events.

Volunteer Opportunities
Membership -Assist the VP Membership by encouraging membership growth and helping to maintain the official membership roster of the Chapter.
Finance - Assist the Treasurer, who is responsible for the financial affairs of the Chapter, in financial reporting to the Board, billings, and arrangements for the annual examination audit of the accounts as may be required by the Board.
Hospitality -Assist the Hospitality Chair in obtaining meeting places and menu items, receiving of meeting reservations, and "checking in" of registrants for programs, workshops and seminars sponsored by the Chapter.
Non-Dues Revenue - Assist the Non-Dues Revenue Chair in obtaining annual sponsorships and sponsorships for all regular meetings, social functions, and any workshops and seminars sponsored by the Chapter.
Programs- Assist the Program Chair with Program content and recommend Guest Speakers for upcoming regular meetings of the members, social functions, and any workshops and seminars sponsored by the Chapter as determined by the Board of Directors.
Marketing - Assist the Marketing Chair in promoting all regular meetings, social functions, and any workshops and seminars sponsored by the Chapter. He/she will also assist in maintaining the Chapter website and producing and distributing marketing materials including email blasts.
Community Relations / Student Chapter Affairs - Assist the Committee Chair in Community Outreach projects and local youth programs in accordance with the Chapter By-laws.
